Yeah man, as long as you can play Skyrim!

Wish I had an E5450 for better overclocking. Or at least a newer Xeon, but I used to have an FX 6300 and the motherboard died and so did my last graphics card (Asus R9 270, VRAM fried from shitty cooling, lasted 3 years)

Fx8350 @4.8 and a 7990. Man that must make your room toasty.

I ended up moving to intel after AMD Zen would ditch support for older versions of windows (while the OS would still boot, just like the when microsoft planned to drop support for skylake (but backtracked on that), no CPU support from the OS = the potential for a number of security updates to be withheld for compatibility purposes. It also makes motherboard driver support less likely.

So I purchased a new motherboard, CPU and RAM, as an upgrade from my Phenom II x6 1075T.

CPU: Intel Core i7 6700k @ 4.8GHz (1.415V) (fixed at this clock speed)
CPU cooler: NZXT Kraken X40
Motherboard: Gigabyte Gaming 6 (z170)
GPU: GTX 970 @ 1475MHz
RAM: 2x 8GB DDR4 3200 (The gaming 6 requires a manual VCCIO voltage increase to be fully stable at DDR4 3200 speeds at 16-16-16 timings)

Storage: 265GB Samsung 850 pro, 4TB WD red, 1TB WD black, 240GB Sandisk SSD plus

Tell me about it… I have a backup Z77 build to use in the summer for that particular reason. I’m from Brazil, so it’s fairly hot here until the end of March/April.

I am not the richest person, but she does her job =3
