So apparently a new version of the NES is being released tomorrow.

Price is looking to be $60. Comes with 30 games.

NOTE: These aren’t NOS units, they are new production units with modern connectors and whatnot.

I would be getting this in a heart beat if it came with a controller cord longer than 2.5ft. I’m mean like WTF??

Yeah, it kinda sucks but I think they did that because you have to hit the reset button to go back to the menu. So maybe their logic was to keep the cable so short that you are sitting close enough to hit the reset button without getting up. I agree though, it’s dumb.

At least all your old Wii classic controllers etc all work and you can use the home button on those over the reset switch on the console itself.

I can see why these are popular but for half the price and skirting a few legal grey areas you could get a Raspberry Pi that does far more.

Apparently all of the sales went live early and sold out pretty much instantly.

People are losing their cool on Amazon solely because of that reason.

Gotta love it.

30 games and someone mentioning the controller issue …

No way I buy this.

Yeah, as @Smidgey87 said, a Raspberry Pi and some emulator software would do the same thing, if not do it better.
