Is there a way to boost an Ethernet signal?

So the modem of the house is nowhere near my room. Instead of running an ethernet cable across the entire house I decided to go with power line adapters from TP link.

They work well enough. Right now there’s one adapter that the modem is feeding into and another in my room that feeds into a router. My PC is connected to that router.

The Problem:
When I do a speed test (for wifi) on the modem itself, I’m getting 80+ mbps. However, when I do a speed test on the wired and wifi signal coming into my room, I’m only getting around 12 mbps.

Are there routers that can boost that signal so my PC and wireless devices can obtain faster speeds?

Please forgive me for I know nothing when it comes to network stuff.

Thanks in advance.
