I need help getting into pc gaming https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Jasmin-Collins/saved/GbXf7P

I am trying to get into PC gaming but I am not sure if this is a good beginners build. I am trying to stay below $450 dollars and I was wondering if this is a good option https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Jasmin-Collins/saved/GbXf7P

Wouldn’t you need more than 8gb memory? (I’m thinking about PC gaming myself)

From what I have seen not really for gaming but for more intensive tasks you might need more.

No worries, thanks for the update

Watch this then put the extra hundred in the GPU. 8 gigs is fine for gaming. You need AT LEAST 8 gigs for current Windows. You can get by on four, but it’s not a good idea.

It is allot better then my first gaming build, 7850k, 8 gig ram (6.9 usable) and old hd,psu, etc.
You always add another 4 gig ram later. Any game that needs 8 gig is gonna cost more then the second stick most likely. Since your on a tight budget it is a good choice.
If you have a microcenter nearby you can get the 30 bucks off the cpu+mb combo and the cpu is 99 bucks.
Also check out open box deals at some of the big box stores. I got a case and PSU half off cause of a scratch. it was a nice score.
Also check out if you can combine your purchases to wipe out the shipping costs

you should consider getting an SSHD and use the solid state portion of your Hybrid drive for your OS and than use the rest for games and applications.

Just a thought

heres an updated part list for my recommendations: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/J86fVY
