I have linux on a thumb drive and have tried multiple boot modes. IT WILL NOT DO ANYTHING BUT FREEZE ON AUTOMATIC BOOT IN 10 SECONDS ON MY NEW BUILD
What OS are you coming from and what distro are you going to?
Since I’ve typically used Windows to download and create a boot drive, Rufus has been the best bet for functional boot images.
From Linux to Linux, even Mac to Linux, you can use
18.1 and 18.2.
Of what distribution?
If its linux mint, and you’re using new-ish hardware, then you are going to have problems using that distro.
If it Fedora long since support ended
ohh goodness yes. That’d be many years out of date!
