Thought I’d share since we have a good amount of PC gamers in our community:
The Discord crew is pretty awesome, have known 'em since they were a wee little table at PAX West. Jobs in the bay area and with startup gaming companies are extremely competitive though - so good luck to anyone that tries. My friends that I know that work here and Twitch both say that they get thousands of applicants. One thing I learned is a lot of these times these, what appear to be entry level work looking at the “requirements” are actually really intended for 2-4 year experienced individuals, atleast in this industry. That, having a portfolio, and an internship (legitimizes work experience for some) are pretty key as well.
